So, allegedly Starbucks across the world will be offering a free tall coffee to patrons who arrive between 10-12pm (i assume that's local time), as part of a National Coffee Break promotion.
Now, I'm not really sure but, I think a tall at SB costs about, what, a dollar fifty?
now consider this,
Someone to whom this promo would appeal to will most likely be someone who works for an hourly wage, i'm gonna guess somewhere close to the minimum. How long do you think the line-ups will be?
Now consider, people will be spending their coffee break, their free time, standing in line for a cup of coffee worth a buck and a half.
This seems to me, to be a great "fuck you" to the poor, doesn't it? No wait, that was Wolfgang Pucks idea for a dessert at the Oscar bash...
Unless you are unemployed, unemployable, or an "Artist", or a drug dealer. Because you got nothin better to do.
